I got a couple of ugly chairs from my sister in law. Lucky for me she had been hoarding them in her basement & need to clean it out because she was moving. This one was in the best shape.
I knew this would be perfect for my very 1st CeCe Caldwell paint demo! What better way to get people talking about the paint than to paint fabric? I decided to paint it Young Kansas Wheat because it kinda reminds me of burlap, a great neutral color. It was great at the demo, the color was gorgeous & everyone was really excited about painting fabric! I covered this dark navy blue with 2 coats of Young Kansas Wheat. The arms & legs were also painted in Young Kansas wheat then Vintage White & rubbed back with a damp rag to reveal the Young Wheat in areas that would normally wear. I waxed the arms & legs with clear & tiny amount of light aging wax. The fabric got 2 coats of Satin Finish mixed with water 50/50.

I have wanted a round table for years but we have an awesome huge farmhouse table. I was in love when I picked this one up. It was in rough shape! It took me a while to get it put back together. It is missing the original leaf so I just attached the sides so they won't open. I was originally going to stain the top a dark walnut but once I stripped it down I loved the original color. I painted the base white, distressed, sealed the whole table with poly & called it done!
This is how the table was when I got it, in pieces.

I found this little nightstand to go with this dresser. It is a lucky little nightstand & gets to live at the lake! Even though it looks like maple, it is actually bleached mahogany. Great quality, just dated 50's style!
I removed the pull, that is actually a door behind there & not a drawer! Weird! I had to match the paint color to go with the dresser. I had used Annie Sloan to make the paint for the dresser but I am now selling CeCe Caldwell paint. It wasn't as hard as I thought to mix the colors.
You can see the colors are a perfect match, the original paint I mixed (AS) is on the door & the new mix with CeCe is on the rest. Perfect match!

This is one of those pieces that I immediately fell in love with! Something about those french legs & curvy drawers! I knew right off this piece was meant to be Vintage White. It didn't need any work, so a quick paint job, light distressing & coat of wax. It sold in less than a week! Wish I could find a few more of these!
