Burlap Table Runners

Oh burlap, I love you so! I hope burlap never goes out of style! I seriously love this stuff! I made a few burlap table runners to take to the Braselton Antique Festival this weekend. If you are in the Atlanta area & aren't going to the Country Living Fair, you should come to Braselton. They are going to have over 70 vendors & it's mostly the stuff you love, it's not a craft show. Here are a couple of runners I made to take with me this weekend.

I got fancy with the last one & added on a ruffle :)  I also made some burlap pillow cases with the queen bee on it.
If you come out to Braselton this weekend, be sure you look for me, I will also be bring CeCe Caldwell Chalk & Clay paint!

It's a Small World

This is actually an old post I totally forgot about!  So it's not recent but from February!  Luckily I found it in my drafts!
Its a small world!  I had been scouring searching Craig's List for hours every day trying to find a cheap great piece to display CeCe Caldwell's paint in my booth.  You cannot believe how hard that was!  For 2 weeks I couldn't find anything under $150!  Finally I came across this ad for a china cabinet & it was fairly close to my house.  I sent an email & when they responded back, I couldn't believe who it was!  It was Kathleen from Between Blue & Yellow!  What a small world!  I had recently come across her blog when she did a guest post on Cassie's blog at Primitive & Proper.  Who knew she lived within a few miles of me!  How cool was that!?  Now I didn't have to worry that I was going to a serial killers house!!

The 70's called & they want their wallpaper back!  Seriously, why is there wallpaper on the back of this cabinet?

French Provincial Dining Room

I found this set on Craig's list.  It wasn't too far from me & the lady was willing to wait for me to get off work to come see it.  My husband went with me after dinner.  I normally go alone.  This is one of those times I wish I had been!  We pull up to a house with a long dirt/gravel driveway.  There are hundreds of ceramic pots sitting outside (I really mean hundreds!).  We are greeted by a chubby little boy (6 yrs old) in his underwear.  It was January!  Yep, not really the kind of CL experience I want him to have.  We head into the house where there is so much stuff piled onto the kitchen counters you can't even see the stove!  Judging by all the cereal boxes I don't think they use the stove, just eat cereal.  We are lead into the dining room/exercise room/pantry.  Seriously.  I know you think this is a joke but seriously, this is true.  This is one of those times you want to whip out your cell phone, snap a couple of pictures & say "my blog readers are never going to believe this so I must get a few pictures".  I didn't but I thought about it.  The hutch was being used for food storage.  Can you guess what kind of food???  Yep, cereal!!  I couldn't believe the deal I was getting on this set & the whole time my husband is saying, "I'm not sure it's worth it".   My husband had me doubting if I should get it or not.  If he hadn't had been there, I would have been down the road with it before they could realize I was stealing it from them!  It was $75!!!  For everything!!  When I finally started ignoring my husband quit doubting myself I told them we would take it but I would have to rent a truck to get it all home.  The husband said he could deliver it tonight in his landscape truck.  (that's why there were so many pots)  So for $75, I got not only a dining room table, 6 chairs & a hutch but delivered to my house!  My husband finally stopped doubting me when we took it to the shop.  The table sold in 4 days ;)
