Antique Highboy Take Two $275

It seems there is a lot of redoing going on around here lately! I tried Graphite chalk paint on this highboy a few months ago & didn't love it. I thought someone else might so I listed it on Craigs. I got 2 calls on it & no one showed up! After having it sit in my dining room (in the way) I decided I had to do something to get it out of here! I love this piece, it is so unique, I just don't have a place to put it. Anyway, here it is with it's new color, Old White.

Ottoman Slipcover: Take 3

Remember this cute white slipcover I made just a few months ago?

Well, white slipcovers & my dogs don't really mix.  With the amount of dirt they bring in, I was washing every week!  And I sorta shrunk it when I washed it on hot water.  Yep, I didn't prewash my fabric before sewing.  I think it would have been ok if I had used cold water but I just don't think all the dirt would have come out.  So I used it as an excuse to remake it with outdoor fabric that has a pattern that will hide some of the dirt but will stand up to the abuse they give it (this is their bed/wrestling arena).   I had just had my mom make me a couple of pillow covers for the couch & I just loved the fabric so I was looking for an excuse to add more to the room anyway :)

Why is it every time I pull the camera out he thinks he needs to get in the photo?

Close up of the fabric.

Close up of the fabric.  From Waverly- Chippendale Fretwork mineral.  By the way, it is a special order from Joanns & they charge you to ship it to the store but if you order it online you can usually find a free shipping code & not pay anything extra.  Kinda ridiculous, right?
