Funky Nightstand

Another chalk paint project. I used Provence again but what a totally different look from my last piece!  Here is the before.  Oops, I already stripped the top!

I have a twin bed I will be finishing to match.

What do you think of the fabric in the background?  My daughter picked it out for her new playroom hangout.  (Who knew at 10 you are too old to have a playroom?)  Anyway, I really like the funkiness of the fabric!  I will be finishing a dresser in this same color for her new room.

  7. Pamela-I use Citristrip (I think) its an orange stripper that looks like lotion. Doesn't smell bad when you use it. After scraping that off I use steel wool to completely clean it. I use a conditioner before adding the stain. After staining I use a wax to seal it & lots of muscle to make it shine!

  10. Pshhh...my brother and I are going to college and we still have "the playroom". Well, now it's the game room but that's more bc the playroom switched rooms and my mom decided to hang all the taxidermied animals there. (I promise we're not redneck; it's tastefully done. It's because my grandfather went on safaris.) But the room above the garage that used to be the playroom is still called that, even though it's now my dad's office and junk-storage-area.

    Lovely table! :)
